Rooted in the profound cosmology of the Nahuatl people, our name is the plural of Axolotl, the sacred amphibian that defies death through regeneration. These creatures were guided by the god Xolotl—the twin of Quetzalcoatl, the lord of the evening star, and the fearless soul-guide who travels the underworld. Our music is a tribute to this duality: a sound that lives in the space between shadow and light, ancient earth and distant stars.
